Perhaps not entirely surprising, with the Hindu majority of India's mind boggling pantheon of gods, Pokemon was a national craze for a few years, with an animation called in Hindi and Tamil, and flower shops across major cities selling Pokemon merchandise. The craze has stabilized for now, but I think sales are expected to peak with the introduction of new Pokemon Black and White. India appears to be blocked.
